Dallas attorney Jack R. Bird has been providing legal representation to Texas businesses, public entities, local and national banks and individuals since 1986. Mr. Bird is an "AV" Rated attorney by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory signifying "the highest level of legal ability and very high adherence to the professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence." His professionalism, zealous pursuit of his client's best interest, and commitment to the practice of law as a service oriented profession forms a core foundation for his Dallas law firm.

Jack was raised in Missoula, Montana and Ashland, Oregon, where he graduated from high school and college. Upon graduation from Southern Oregon University, summa cum laude, Jack attended the University of Oregon School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. The Order of the Coif is an honorary scholastic society the purpose of which is to encourage excellence in legal education by fostering a spirit of careful study, recognizing those who as law students attained a high grade of scholarship, and honoring those who as lawyers, judges and teachers attained high distinction for their scholarly or professional accomplishments.

Upon graduation from the University of Oregon, Jack was employed as an associate first at a small regional law firm in Southern Oregon and then at a prestigious national firm in Portland. Jack then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1985, where he was employed first as an associate and then a partner with Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. From 1996-2008, Jack was a partner in a small Dallas law firm. In 2008, Jack formed his own Texas law firm based on his 28 years practicing law in Dallas, which provided the opportunity to employ the best practices culled from this diverse and varied background of legal experiences.
Jack's has developed a varied practice that includes the representation of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, creditors and debtors in work-outs, probate matters, and parties in regional and national business transactions.

This varied practice includes representing a member of the Michael Milliken creditor trust Executive Committee and as lead counsel successfully presenting a claim to that trust's special master and out of court business restructurings on behalf of creditors and debtors. He has represented Indenture Trustees and banks in complex bankruptcy matters since the mid-1980s.

Jack's Dallas law firm has handled a broad spectrum of legal counseling and business representation. He often acts as outside counsel for emerging and mid-sized businesses that do not have their own legal staff. This network approach also works well with corporate counsel of larger companies.
